We found the Sofitel very old-fashioned - although the rooms were clean and the foyer was grand, the amenities (bathroom, etc) were quite old and 'stately'. I enjoy staying in 5 star hotels when I get a good deal and I got a great one. It lived up to my expectations of a 5 star hotel. Was value from my Accor membership. Was clean, comfortable and staff very polite and attentive.

Stayed last Friday & Saturday. Arrived at 8pm with young children but room allocations were incorrect,despite someone contacting me several weeks earlier to discuss our requirements. The room we stayed in was very small, bathroom was very compact and the king bed was awful (hard and uncomfortable...think they tried to soften if by laying a doona on top of the mattress under the sheet). Conveniently close to The Rocks are but not what I would call a 5 star stay....

Our stay in Sydney was due to our daughters graduation and we selected the Wentworth Sofitel. Located just out of the shopping precinct it is only a short walk with the same to 2 rail stations and Darling Harbour restaurants. We had a beautiful night of absolute luxury in a Club suite and enjoyed all of the privelages that are included. Bed 'to die for', fabulous service and care down in the Club, hard to do it any other way in the future. Staff were the best!!
