I needed to be in Sydney for family events for four days over a weekend. I needed a clean and comfortable place to stay at a low cost, with easy access to the inner north, city and eastern suburbs. Because of the low price my expectations weren't high so I was very pleasantly surprised by the value I recieved. Glenferrie... more

We've booked this hotel from a random advert at Sydney tourist info kiosk, having inquired availability for 3 nights. We proffered our Dutch-based Master card as is normal. Without making clear their intention, the hotel instantly debited our card for a three day stay. We left after two nights, having been charged for three, as the hotel fell far below... more

I stayed at Glenferrie Lodge twice last year with my boyfriend - both times we were given nice clean large rooms. Depending on where your room is situated it can be a bit of a walk to the bathroom but this wasn't really a problem as there were multiple bathrooms on each floor. There were also computers available so that... more

We booked this hotel from a random advert at Sydney airport hotel assistance kiosk, having inquired availability for 3 nights. We proffered our British-based Mastercard as is normal. Without making clear their intention, the hotel instantly debited our card for a three day stay. We asked them to credit that charge when we arrived at the hotel and to bill... more

From the first minute there I felt that the staff and its owners wanted you to just relax and treat the place like it's your own. Friendly, helpful staff. Unbelievably clean shared bathrooms (don't know how you do that). Memorable fully cooked breakfast and keen-to-please cooks. The Kirribilli ferry is only 2mins walk from Glenferrie and takes you straight to... more

Upon arrival after a very long flight from Bangkok we were told that we hadn't paid for our stay and therefore the reservation we made 4 months before our trip doesn't stand. This was 2 days before New Year where nothing else would have been available which is why we confirmed so early. Despite my confirmation from the booking agent... more

This lodge is very nice with a great location. I stayed there for over a week and loved it. The included brekfest is definitely the highlight and you can eat it outside on the balcony or in the garden. The showers were always clean and vacant and the staff was very friendly. more

My first room was next to the kitchen and there was a continual 'buzzing' noise - I asked to be relocated and was given a room on the 1st floor. The rooms are basic, a bed, small desk, tv and fridge. Fortunately the room came with a ceiling fan, there are also stand-alone air-con units The free breakfast is quite... more

Lovely location in leafy Kirribilli, just metres from Kirribilli House and Admiralty House. Ferry wharf just 2 minutes walk, ferry ride just 7 minutes to Circular Quay. Ferries half-hourly, however last ferry home is 11.40pm-ish, taxi from Circular Quay is over $20. The included buffet breakfast is very very good, fresh toast, cereals, the bacon not too salty, eggs just... more
