The Mclaren is a really nice hotel but just a couple of oddities:- the drains stank in room 14 making the bathroom unpleasant to use; the cost of a simple continental breakfast does not come included in the cost of the room, which goes against the norm and caught me unawares. more

Stay at this hotel every couple of months or so throughout the year. The rooms in the new annex are worth paying a bit extra for. The location is brilliant with buses to the city or northern beaches just around the corner and the train into the city about 5 mins walk away (take the shortcut through Greenwood Plaza). The McLaren could be described as a botique private hotel. I've been staying there 2-3 times a year since the late 80's, mostly on business.
