Walked into this reasonable clean and smart lobby on 30th Dec after being let down at the last minute for a place to stay. After walking the streets of Bondi and Kings Cross for three and half hours with a huge backpack and day pack I was thinking I'd be walking until dawn until the very friendly guy at reception... more

Stayed at the Astoria the week before and after New Year's only because everything else was booked. The staff was nice enough, especially Ron, a gentleman from Finland who also sings opera professionally. They got me one of their more decent rooms (there aren't many). View of an alley and rooftop but the bed was okay and the TV big.... more
