I‘ve stayed in a lot of hostels in the last 6months while travelling around the world and I’m happy to say that this was the BEST hostel I’ve ever stayed in! It was like a home away from home.
Kangaroo bakpak has amazing staff who are always willing to help you and love getting the whole hostel together for great nights out, clean rooms with security locker, own plug and your own light by your bed, private bathrooms that are always extremely clean and the free laundry facilities & breakfast is always a great bonus.
I would recommend this hostel to anyone because it’s a very friendly hostel and is sure to make your stay in Sydney memorably. Well done lads, keep up the brilliant work! : ) more

I loved it here, there is free laundry, breakfast, nice rooms with designed privacy, your own locker and your own plug and light by your bed. They have really thought of everything and the whole place is comfortable and friendly as it is not one of the "big backpackers" so you get to know people that are staying there. The staff are brilliant, really friendly and welcoming and everyone I met staying there was really nice too. The only thing that I would say is that - unlike what the it says on Hostel World - it is not very close to the central station, probably about a 30 minute (or a bit more) walk which is pretty knackered with all the bags - but just jump on a 363 or 372 bus and it is nice and quick! But to be honest it really is worth the distance as it is peaceful and in a nice, safe area. more
