Both the positive reviews and negative reviews ring true. They just depend on your expectations. We found the B&B to lack in several ways. First is the lack of the second B, or breakfast. Second, the carpets, beds, and linens are a bit run down. Third, there is clutter everywhere in the downstairs making it basically unusable. Fourth, the arrangements... More

We were luckily able to find this accommodation for 5 of us to stay in 2 rooms over a weekend with relatively short notice. The location is fantastic and within walking distance of everything - cafes, restaurants, shops, public transport. The owner requested that we leave our bedroom doors open during the day to allow airflow through the rooms which... More

Hi my name is Saskia. My friend and me found this nice and beautiful place this weekend by pure coincidence in Sydney, as we had a look for another Backpackers place next door. We met this nice and friendly Lady Julie who offered us to come to her house, after we found out that the other place is not habitable.... More

THIS PLACE IS A NIGHTMARE- DO NOT STAY HERE Julie does NOT have an ABA business number and she is not a registered B&B. She does not conform to any health or sanitation standards. Wanted to find a nice B&B to stay at in the city with friends from overseas, I had read the other negative reviews about this place... More

We chose this B&B from Trip Advisor based on it's location and reviews. Although it didn't provide breakfast, it was a perfect location with so many eateries in the near vicinity (walking distance). We walked into downtown Sydney and back again several times during our 4 days and on a couple of occasions we caught the FREE Hop on Hop... More

I needed two nights in Sydney and hoped to find something a bit personal, perhaps even quirky in character. This B&B is certainly quirky. I had read the other reviews but was prepared to give Julie the benefit of the doubt. Oh well, you have to learn and it was only two nights. Basically this is a small Victorian terrace... More

We arrived at 5:30PM, tired, after travelling all day on a coach tour. We rang and were answered by intercom. Wait a moment please! We are left on the sidewalk, along with all of our luggage waiting...5 minutes or more. Finally, Julie comes to the door and tells us there is some DRAMA! The person, in our room. has hurt... More

What an unpleasant experience staying at Bed & Breakfast Sydney Central! It was my first trip in Sydney for 3 nights and 5days. Before staying in Bed & Breakfast Sydney Central, I was so excited to stay having read an account in a B&B guide (not realising the glowing report had been written by the proprietor.) I arrived around 10am... More

I am required to travel to Sydney frequently due to study and chose B&B Sydney Central due to its proximity to the Central Train Station. I find it pleasant with certain charm. Julie the owner is gracious and helps out when she can and the cats are wonderful and fluffy company. The rooms are clean and tidy and Julie always... More

I stayed in the B&B City Central in Sydney for 5 months due to my internship I did in Sydney. Therefore I might not see things as a tourist would because I stayed there quite long. For me it was more like living there and not beeing on a holiday. The B&B is a B&B as you would expect it,... More
