If you're used to staying in Crowne Plaza hotels around the world then you should lower your expectations before checking into the Alice Springs property. Don't get me wrong, it is a perfectly adequate hotel, you just won't get the top-end experience that you get in other Crowne Plaza properties around the world. First, the location. The hotel is on... more

Spent one night at Crowne Plaza Hotel. Reception staff was friendly but also uninterested in its guests. Huge area with lots of infrastructure - but also quite impersonal and lots of (noisy) groups and business travellers. Clean and nice rooms. Good food but only a few waiters to keep the area clean (which doesn't work out!!). Had to clean our... more

The hotel is approx a 20 minute walk from Alice Springs town. Not the best of walks. Picked it because of the brand but of course it's in the middle of a desert. The choice is either this or Lassiters adjoining the casino. Both are next door to each other. On reflection, I would opt for Lassiters which has lots... more

Stayed one night as part of Princess Cruise land tour. Very nice hotel. just outside (10 minutes from downtown area). Had a second floor room that overlooked golf course and surrounding mountains. (Reminded me of staying in Palms Springs) Room was above average and pretty good considering overall area (middle of Austrailia). Member of our tour tried to get in... more

Arrived in Alice Springs on the Ghan from Adelaide to temperatures of over 40degrees, so the lovely pool at the hotel was really welcome. Most of the hotels in Alice are just outside the main shopping / tourist area, about 15 to 20 minutes walk, which doesn't sound far, but in temperatures in the 40s it is. Do the half... more

We stayed here as part of our group tour. Our room was room 270, garden view. The room itself contained 2 queen beds and was quite spacious, if a bit frayed around the edges. The hotel is located about a mile outside of town. There was nothing to do near the hotel. The dinner we had in the hotel was... more

There's very little choice in Alice Springs of decent mid-range hotels so it was either the Crowne Plaza or Lassiters and the former won (I can't remember why now - probably recognised the brand). This hotel is exactly what I'd expect a Crowne Plaza hotel to be like, which is not a criticism but indicates that it meets a certain... more

I stayed here for one night in an executive room. The room was large and comfortable, with a separate lounge area. Staff were pleasant. Room service was nice. However, my overall impression is that this is an old, tired hotel that needs a revamp. The decor is outdated and tired looking. It is a clean, comfortable stay. However, don't expect... more

Dear Guest, thank you for your feedback. During the months of November and December the Crowne Plaza Alice Springs upgraded the existing beds and bed furnishings. All of our rooms are fitted with Duvets and feature Pillow as well a modern new headboard. Kind regards Adam

Stayed in Alice Springs in late September for 2 nights. Took a cab from the airport and arrived in the Crowne Plaza in about 15 minutes. Check-in was very efficient but there wasn’t anyone to help with luggage. The hotel is very spread out. When we were there, they were renovating one of the hallways (fresh paint and replacing the... more
