It's difficult to find anywhere to eat in Alice but Bo's Sallon & Dining Room otherwise know as BoJangles about 300m from the hostel is fun, cheap and hearty try try the mixed grill it's exotic. Had to stay in 2 different rooms: 4-beds and 16-beds. Also - the 16-mixed-beds are packed. Its ok for a night or 2, but its really just to go there to sleep. This hostel is great for before or after nights when you go on Uluru Safari - otherwise there is no point coming to Alice Springs. I stayed in a family room in the Alice Springs YHA. The room was OK. It could have done with a slightly deeper clean. For example, one of the bunks (which I wasn't using), had lots of bits of insect on it. This may have been because of the recent thunder storm, but it looked a bit longer term than... more
