We spent two nights here in a Safari cabin. More of a tent than a cabin, they are big enough for two single beds and not much else. However they are clean and comfortable. On the downside the noise from the Station's generator was very intrusive though the night. Sadly we were unable to take a camel ride due to staff... More

We called in for a quick stop and stayed nearly 2 hours. Friendly and relaxed staff - reasonably priced and delightful food. The steak s/w was an absolute ripper. The baby camel was cute, Read the Conway Family Story. Stay here and bypass Kings Canyon Resort- the camping ground there is at best described as unwelcoming and a dust bowl.

Thanks for your really thoughtful review. We're really pleased you enjoyed stopping with us for a couple of hours and Snowy the camel is always happy to greet new people. Next time you are in the area you will have to try the campgrounds, we're proud to say that we do maintain some grassed and shady sites, often a welcome... More

i and my bf stayed in a cabin for the camping it was real fun. The place is very peaceful and you have plenty of lights around so no need of those big flashlights.. I particularly like the service because i accidentally left my watch there in one of the drawers of the cabin. I had no hopes that i... More

my wife and i enjoyed our two nights camping at the station, teh tents were a little too small, but comfortable, we were very pleased to meet Liz and Allen, members of staff, they were great company and very helpful. the only thing we did not like was the food, the only choice seems to have been fried food, even... We stayed in the permanent Safari tents. For our family of 4 we needed to book 2 tents, as each have room for only 2 bed. They were very comfortable, each tent has a fan and a heater, as well as a light. The bathrooms are close by and are clean. There are faciities to BBQ your own dinner, but... More

It's simple. Before you book here, have a look at the website. Then you won't whinge about the accommodation once you see it. Safari Cabins are in fact permanent tents. And they're terrific. Small, yes, but terrific. They contain two surprisingly comfy single beds, a small table, a lamp, a heater (which works a treat on cold desert nights), a... More

I've stayed here twice, and quite like the rustic character of the place. However I have to say that one night was extremely noisy, with several tour groups playing very loud amplified music during the evening. It did eventually stop, but was not the sort of experience I was expecting. Amplified music should definitely be banned. It can be very... More

We stayed at Kings Creek Station for 2 nights on a 10 night trip making our way from Alice Springs to Adelaide. One of the places we wanted to visit on the trip was Kings Canyon, on researching accomodation in the area we came across Kings Creek and emailed them via their website.. after a couple of communications we found... We booked accommodation here with slight reservations as the reviews were so mixed but felt many of the criticisms appeared to come from people who expected more upmarket facilities. We're glad we took the gamble as it was one of our most enjoyable stays in Australia. The setting, near to King's Canyon, is beautiful. Yes, the accommodation is small and... More

Our group of seventeen all loved our stay at Kings Creek station. The camp kitchen was great and well stocked with essentials, the fact that we could have a campfire and the wood provided was great. Our breakfast which was included was scrumptious. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. As for the whingers about the dusty and the tents... More
