We were really worried about our trip to Ayers Rock read so many bad reviews, but it was all rather fantastic, it was my 49th Birthday and we had a great time. The lost Camel was clean enough, small but compact and lets face it who really does anymore than shower and sleep in their rooms anyway. We read the... more

Originally we were supposed to get a room at the Desert Pioneer hotel but due to schedule change with our plans we ended upo getting a room at the Lost Camel which turned out to have a better location out of those two. Hotel was very simply, almost like scandinavian style but had all the necessary things. Shower and toilet... more

Boutique is a much overused word when it comes to hotels. A funky purple and orange colour scheme doesn't mean it's boutique you know. Think recently built Travelodge and you'll be more in the right area. Our room was fine, it did the trick, but it's expensive for what it is. Being the only hotel complex in the area, you... more

My sister and I stayed here for 2 nights in August 2008. I had booked through rates to go for the cheaper rate 3 weeks before our stay. There isn't much of a choice when it comes to booking accomodation in Ayers Rock Resort. It seems all the hotels are owed by the same operator so there isn't much value... more

The Lost camel seems to style itself as a slightly alternative trendy hotel in the resort. I can't fault the service that we received from the people at reception desk who were always helpful even though they seemed somewhat overworked so it meant having to wait a short while before they could help some times. The pool at the hotel... more

The Lost Camel is perfect for young adults not travelling on a strict budget. Fancy rooms (but small), nice staff. Restaurants on the other hotels at the Resort area (some are very expensive!). I recommend to buy breakfast at Red Rock Deli in the shopping centre area, lunch at Tali Bar (Sails in the Desert Hotel) and dinner at Gecko's... more

I decided on a quick 24 hour trip to the Northern Territory to see Ayers Rock - Uluru so required accommodation for one night. After researching options in the Ayers Rock Resort, it was a choice between the two cheapest options there: The Outback Pioneer and The Lost Camel; and I am glad I chose to stay at The Lost... more

Having previous lived in Oz and even visited many times I decided that this time Ayres Rock and Alice were a must on the list. Having read a few earlier reviews of this hotel/complex I then found it better than expected. The room was different, clean & tidy, good bed & pillows, fridge for drinks & breakfast stuff. T &... more

All hotels in Yulara are part of Voyages so no competition and high prices. But... it's actually very good. The location, facilities, food, tours, etc. The room was small but clean and functional. It's a small village with everything you could ever need. more
