What an oasis! The villa was superbly presented with such attention to detail .. very classy and simply perfection! On arrival, a bottle of red wine greeted us on the kitchen bench and the frangipani's on the bed was a lovely Wow factor! What a warm welcome! Everywhere we turned just spelled "class" .. from the beautiful tropical gingers superbly... More

From the service to the scenery I was completely impressed with Moonshadow Villas. I travel extensively for corporate reasons and like staying in locations that are modern, spacious and have character; There's nothing worse than a black and white corporate apartment! Moonshadow reminded me of all the beauty of South East Asia but set against a backdrop of the Australian... More

This place was a fantastic getaway from the hustle & bustle of everyday life. Great attention to detail - everything one needs in the fridge. The owners were very friendly and helpful. A tropical paradise.

Whilst I also experienced some of the delays other reviewers have expressed when I tried to email and phone early in the year my advice would be - PERSEVERE!! Once Moya did respond her communication was so warm and helpful it was just a delight. The huge list of things to see and do in Darwin which she sent us... More

I book and stay in many hotels/accomm throughout Australia - approx 80 nights a year. This is the first time i have not proceeded with a booking because of the booking process. I emailed, rang, left messages, tried to clarify cost and after more than 8-10 attempts over 4-6 weeks i ended up losing confidence in Moya and the slow/lack... More

I am completely disappointed with the way they manage their booking system. I sent an email weeks ago but have not heard since. I then did sent another enquiry, phoned and got a response after 3 attempts only to say that I need to send an email with the date I wish to book when I have already informed them... More

My husband and I experienced the incredible delight that is Moonshadow Villas in May 2012. My husband was travelling for business and I for pleasure and I have to say the Mimi Villa is the most perfect holiday/work destination in Darwin. The stay provided us with the respite we desperately needed from our life in Melbourne. Thank you to Moya... More

We stayed at Moonshadow for a week in July 2012, on our first visit to Darwin with two children. The key to enjoying this place is that it is self catering and if you understand that you will not be disappointed. We arrived on Territory Day which meant lots of fireworks at the nearby Mindi Markets (Sunday and Thursday). We... More

Self-catered and self contained but still 5 Star and Green Star does seem the way to go particularly with a family. That way you can sleep in without interruption - go out to breakfast - come back and attend to the little things without being in the situation of having house-keeping doing their thing.. And although we are only a... More

We stayed in the Orchid Villa with two friends from overseas. Everything was perfect. A starter pack of food, a prearranged choice of magazines, a well stocked coffee machine and beautifully maintained villa awaited us. Moya went out of her way to help in organising this trip of a lifetime with our friends. I took advantage of the beautifully set... More
