We used to travel around the world for many years and sleep in many different kind of accomodations. We are generally never writing something about the place in witch we stay, but here we have to say something. We just travel from broome to darwin across the kimberley during 10 days, and we stay 3 nights in darwin for having... more

I have been meaning to write this review for some time, and since recently joinging tripadvisor, now is the best time. This place is... A DUMP!!! Firstly they charge an inflated price to stay there. The counter staff are not pleasant and almost have a look of disgust upon their face, but an intimidating one. The place it self is... more

Due to the V8 Supercar weekend it was hard to find any accomodation. In the end I booked at this place. As we were a group of 7 we got a whole dorm. Sa far so good. The website said they were once on of the best in Darwin and even recently someone said he had been there during that... more

Don't stay here. Book a private room which meant I had a dorm room for myself. No aircon! Compared to other places bit of a walk into town (tho not too bad on absolute terms). The place by the bus station (don't remember name) even tho it was name as a party place was much better! more

This hostel should win an award for the most disgusting hostel ever!! We booked ourselves in to Frogshollow for a few nights and left after the first!! And then had an arguement with the girl on reception as she tried to make us pay for staying there, and for leaving too!! If you'd seen this hostel you'll understand why we... more

we stayed here for two nights in August 2007. It was without doubt the worst hostel i have ever stayed in. everything was dirty. the rooms were small and shabby and right beside the communal area which was very noisy. i have stayed in many hostels in many different copuntries and none of them were as dirty as frogshollow. the... more

I stayed in this hostel three nights (but in two different rooms). I wanted a quiet hostel away from Mitchell St (the party street), but it was very noisy because of people staying all night long in the common area, drinking and shouting. If your room is on the "pool side", the noise is terrible, on the "street side" it... more

Frogshollow is the best backpackers in Darwin, which might not be saying much. It is located away from busy Mitchell St. which is a plus. The bathrooms need to be updated and cleaned more, and the A/C only ran at night which made resting in the daytime uncomfortable. Darwin in itself is a real boring city and not worth visiting... more
