Myself and parnter stayed at the Luma Luma for 12 nights. We found the rate of $125 a night very cheap. (you pay close to that for a shabby hotel in our tasmanian hometown) The staff were super friendly and catered to all our needs. The views were lovely. The rooms were clean. We were able to walk around the... more

It's pretty basic and a teensy bit run down, but clean and confortable. Service was excellent. I asked for two more coat hangers and got six. I asked for another towel and got three. i asked for another glass and got two. more

Ok ! the apartment itself was ok , swimming pool and area was sub standard though Basicaly they are over priced apartments , my complaint is more with the staff and payment etc, I booked with an online company and about 15 minutes later i got an E mail from the hotel staff hiking the price up 40 dollars more... more

While the rooms were basic, they were spacious, and very clean. Not an insect in sight. A hotplate, microwave, toaster plus cutlery, pots and pans etc, made self-cooking easy. The apartment also had a large fridge to keep drinks and food cold. The fan and airconditioning keep the room cool and I had a nice view from my balcony. The... more

If you like seeing huge bins of dirty laundry (sheets / towels) inches from your face every time you go up to your room then this is the place for you. Otherwise you will find it extremely unhygenic and unpleasant visually. Reception staff refused to move the bins, which were left in the corridor outside the elevator, saying they were... more

Having travelled most of the third world on a budget, this hotel trumps as one of my worst stays. There was constant construction noise to the front (which starts early and goes all weekend), frequent partying to the back, and some dodgy goings on in the building (rooms by the hour?). I was here for 3 weeks until my workplace... more

While the rooms were basic, they were spacious and very clean. Not an insect in sight. A hotplate, microwave and toaster plus cutlery, pots and pans etc, made self-cooking easy. Comfortable bed; airconditioning that worked; a nice view from my balcony. I stayed for five nights and found the place comfortable and cool. A bonus is that it is right... more

Recently stayed here for work - and got the 'discounted' rate of A$185 per night. Room was clean but at best functional with a knackered TV with limited channels, low grade aircon and a small bathroom. Dedcor was limited to painted concrete block walls. Location wise this is a good hotel but facilities are severely lacking. Staff seemed friendly. Horrendously... more

Our whole experience with Luma Luma was depressing. We were charged four star prices for accomodation which was sub-standard. The walls were made of Besser block, the paint old and tired. The kitchen consisted of a white melamine cupboard, bar fridge(leaking, with towel on the bottom) and an outdated electric stove. The lounge was an old cane sofa bed full of... more
