I live in Brisbane...So take it from me, if you are backpacking there is no where else to stay. Even if you do not stay here; party downstairs at Brisbane's most popular student destination the down under bar. It goes off almost every night, but is most popular on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. The rooms are very basic, even private rooms. No rooms contain ensuites. It can get very noisey: but you're backpacking so your used to it. Central location. Close to main shopping strip Queen Street. Walking distance to South Bank. You can see the hostel from the Central Station, it is literally across the road. Internet cafe downstairs, down under bar in the basement cooks some amazing and hearty meals which usually come with a pint and are dirt cheap, job centre for people looking to work. In Brisbane?
