The Metro Hotel Tower Hill is a good fit for the seasoned traveller used to European style utilitarian hotels. Not the cookie cuttter American vacuum box but a place to sleep, safe, clean, efficiently run with large balconies with a view. It was my second stay and it met all my requirements for practicality and location. "Pub" type food and... More

Metro tower mill was a great overnight stay in Brisbane. Have lived and stayed many times in Brisbane and although this was one of the least "flashy" places I have stayed, it has got all the essentials perfectly covered! Very clean, comfortable and quiet. Breakfast included was not great but still better then some I've paid for in the past.... More

Dirty, battered bathroom and bedroom, noisy air conditioner, dirty floor, curtains hanging off the rails, electrical appliance all connected via multi-socket extension leads, bits of the ceiling all over the bed. This is the worst hotel we have ever stayed in and we travel for typically 3-4 months of every year. Not cheap either. I wish we'd chosen the Backpackers. More

All of the complaints within this review have been investigated. Metro Hotel Tower Mill is a AAA 3.5 Star Rated Hotel, not a Backpackers. There are different levels of accommodation, Executive Double, Suite and Budget. I would recommend if these types of complaints are found within a Hotel during your stay they must be brought to the attention of Management... More

We stayed at the Metro Hotel Tower Mill On Wickham Terrace because we had appointments at the Brisbane Private Hospital next door. We paid the Medical Rate of $140.00 per night. The room was small but with a queen size bed and a balcony. We had some difficulty boiling the kettle because the only available power points were situated just... More

We stayed here as it was all I could find for the date we needed. We paid $400 for one night in an executive family room. Building is old and needs serious modernising. Television in our room didn't get clear channels. Will not be staying here again unless absolutely desperate. Definately not value for money. More

Comfortable room, narrow passages, and only one lift. No passageway light out side our room, and noticed that the door to the balcony was locked and this was the way to the fire escape. Room very nice and comfortable. Shower over bath but had no rail for support, and bath slippery, the shampoo container supplied was empty. More

This hotel is like a journey to a past time. Smelly, old carpets abd furniture, ancient service approach (the hotel asks for a AUD 100 bond - even from pre-paid business travelers) and technology from the 80ies ... Location seems to be ok, though ... More

Upgraded to a room with park views and we were very happy sitting on the balcony with our cups of tea in the morning. Location was excellent, very close to the main shops in Brisbane, however it is located up a hill so may be an issue if you have trouble waking. Staff were friendly, onsite free parking was fantastic... More

It was my mistake for wanting to cheap out with the room selection, I would have been better off for sure if I didn't book the budget room which was located on the 8th (top) floor of the hotel. The room was un-carpeted and felt quite unclean. There was even left over tissue bits in the bathroom from a previous... More

We stayed one night and found our room comfortable and clean. It was a bonus having a free car parking space in the hotel car park at the rear. We walked all round Brisbane from the hotel and had a glass of wine from our balcony at the front of the hotel. There is a great little park up the... More
