I enjoyed the architecture of this hotel, with the room itself being pleasant, and the fittings good quality. Stayed here for one night only for business. Stayed in a one bedroom apartment - nicely furnished, clean, with kitchenette, separate lounge room, bedroom and ensuite. We arrived at the hotel midday Sunday after a week at port Douglas. The receptionist was friendly and welcoming. Our hotel room was clean and tidy but quite small with nowhere to sit apart from the bed-We did see the apartments which were much larger and well appointed, so if you intend to stay for more than a few days... more

Would rate this hotel excellent for the art deco decor, above average for the room and average for the staff. Central, with no great hill to climb after shopping throughout the city.
