We stayed in basic double room. We found it to be in a good location with friendly staff. It is not luxurious but it is a lot quieter than staying in Fortitude Valley. The minibus running to Roma Street via the State Library every hour is handy. You are in easy walking distance to Queen Street Mall.

I have been there for a couple of weeks and it's absolutely lovely! You can really feel home, good price, useful free bus service to the city, comfortable living room, cute cats and friendly and helpful staff. I could actually live there :)

The location is not all that great. It's close to the west end, which is a nice area, but if you need to catch a train it's a fair walk to the closest station (involving some uphill walking). I had a reservation for 5 day and I left the place after the first. I undestand that is a cheap hostal and is also very busy but that is not excuse for the lack of cleaning.
