i planned to stay there for a week but had to move out after 2 days. staff was extremely rude and had no experience with backpackers. Even management is hopeless. We stayed in a private en-suite double that was pretty grotty. Although the bathroom was clean, the carpet, curtains and bed had seen better days - we slept inside our sleeping bags! Kitchen was a bit over used and crowded but you did get cheap bike hire and free transport to & from the city and the staff were friendly.... more

Pretty cool laid back hostel. We choose it because it was the cheapest in brisbane. The best part was there was no bar. We were able to bring our won alcohol in and have a nice drink. Place is old but gives lots of character and the staff are very helpful. a++ more
