its an ok place except for 2 things : the cockroaches; and attitude of the managers to guests and their staff. Go somewhere else and definately do not work here in exchange for your board unless you want to live in a stinking room overun with cockroaches! more
Stayed in a double room. The place was awesome. The room was clean, comfortable and air-conditioned. The location is good with 7-11 just across the road, and the train station is just a few minutes walk away. I will have to say this is the best backpackers I have ever stayed. more
After the experience of Cooee at Sydney what a difference. It was very clean, staff helpful and close to nearly everything. Our room was the delux private and as much as a hotel but you felt like you were in a 2/3 * hotel room. Security was good and hardly any noise. I would certainly recommend this hostel to anyone. more
Stayed here for 2 nights in Jan 08. Paid $34 for a 4 bed dorm. the dorm was a decent size with A/C and en suite bathroom, also personal safes in the room but you need to pay $2 per night to use them. The en suite bathroom is a good idea in theory but in practise it is very... more
Stayed at Tinbilly's for 4 nights with 2 of my friends. We had booked a 4 person dorm room and each night had a room mate. The rooms were quite a nice size, two single bunk beds, a wardrobe and 4 small lockers (that you had to pay for). Being a small room, the air con made it FREEZING, but... more
Only good thing was the location! V. noisy till 1 am every night with noise from music/bar downstairs! Lacking space and too small kitchen/seating for number of visitors. Had to pay $10 deposit for cutlery. Most of time they never cleaned, just emptied bin. Lack of seats/space/tables to sit and eat sometimes as only TV lounge which was v. small... more
Stayed in private ensuite twin room as we were a bit worried over sharing but to be honest dorms are the best way to meet people!! Staff are great, location could be better but very close to transportation centre, to get coaches etc. The TIN is a great bar and lots of fun. CLEAN ROOMS - NO ROACHES!! EVEN STAFF... more
We stayed in a private room in Tinbilly's for 6 nights over the Easter period. We had been travelling across Asia for 3 months and we were used to basic hostel accomodation. We were appauled by the disinterest of the staff, particularly the reception staff. All guest key cards had to be reprogrammed every day without fail. I had to... more
We stayed in a Dorm that they never cleaned properly. The cleaners would change the sheets but not the quilt covers. The Toilet would be cleaned but they would not wash the floor or clean the mirrors or counters. I asked the reception would they wash and Bathroom floor and they never did it, covered in grim and the ensuite... more
