Only good thing was the location! V. noisy till 1 am every night with noise from music/bar downstairs! Lacking space and too small kitchen/seating for number of visitors. Had to pay $10 deposit for cutlery. Most of time they never cleaned, just emptied bin. Lack of seats/space/tables to sit and eat sometimes as only TV lounge which was v. small... more

Stayed in private ensuite twin room as we were a bit worried over sharing but to be honest dorms are the best way to meet people!! Staff are great, location could be better but very close to transportation centre, to get coaches etc. The TIN is a great bar and lots of fun. CLEAN ROOMS - NO ROACHES!! EVEN STAFF... more

We stayed in a private room in Tinbilly's for 6 nights over the Easter period. We had been travelling across Asia for 3 months and we were used to basic hostel accomodation. We were appauled by the disinterest of the staff, particularly the reception staff. All guest key cards had to be reprogrammed every day without fail. I had to... more

We stayed in a Dorm that they never cleaned properly. The cleaners would change the sheets but not the quilt covers. The Toilet would be cleaned but they would not wash the floor or clean the mirrors or counters. I asked the reception would they wash and Bathroom floor and they never did it, covered in grim and the ensuite... more

Stayed here for 2 nights in August. We had a twin room ensuite and it was massive and spotlessly clean. Room also had a flat screen TV. I really couldn't fault the room and the in house travel agent could not have been more helpful. The bar seemed lively and noisy every night but you couldn't hear the noise from... more

This hostel is not as good as the previous reviews say. I stayed in a large bedroom the 1st night, 12 beds, a small bathroom (long queue in the morning for a shower), not very clean, quite noisy, and the knob of the door broken (we had to sleep with the door open because of that). The kitchen is also... more

The best hostel in Australia nevermind Brisbane. Well priced, funky designs, comfy beds (so important when you had slept on a bus and a boat for the last 5 nights as I had). The bar downstairs is a good place to start a night out and the guys selling trips and excursions really know their stuff. This place sells itself... more

I chose to stay in Tinbilly's, not wishing to return to the Brisbane YHA (as it is run down, and currently being refurbished around you). I was a bit nervous about the noise level, because there is a very loud bar at street level. However, once in my room (on the second floor), I could barely hear any noise from... more

This was probably the best hostel I stayed in on my east coast travels. Was a bit concerned by the very lively bar underneath but once inside the hostel I wasn't aware of it at all. In fact the bar serves up really great cheap food - esp breakfast. The 4 bed dorm was spotless and very modern with an... more
