We paid $90 a night to stay here as it was the cheapest accommodation we could find. We stayed for 5 nights and only need the hotel as a place to sleep as we were out for the majority of the day. The location is about 5mins walk from the Fortitude Valley train station and about the same to the... More

My work colleague and I had rooms for an overnight stay here and is was a great alternative to the sterile, modern hotel/motels that we normally use. It is like stepping back in time to a bygone era with creaky floors, hallway runners and wall panelling. It didn't have mod cons but really was a great alternative. For $100 per... More

We stayed at Brisbane Manor while attending a Congress at the Old Museum. The location was perfect, right across the road from our event, and a 10-15minute walk from the train station, supermarket and Fortitude Valley's Cafes, Restaurants and Bars. The manor is a fair distance from the city itself, so we only managed to see the city on one... More

I'm from Melbourne and I stayed here for 2 nights and was attacked by bed bugs, by the time I got home my arms were COVERED in them. I had to get an exterminator in at my home and I threatened the hotel with legal action and they ended up paying back the money that the exterminator cost me ($300+... More

The Manor is very conveniently located in downtown Brisbane. The rooms are modern and well appointed. The staff are helpful and friendly and are on hand if you need them but not obtrusive at all which I appreciate. The rooms themselves have a well appointed kitchette with fridge, cooktop, diswasher. The rooms also have washing machines and irons as standard.... More

We stayed at the Brisbane Manor for just under a week. Overall we found it comfortable, although it lacked some mod cons. We booked an en-suite room, which was adequate, albeit the decor was circa the 1970s and the walls thin, so every noise from outside could be heard. Initially, we had been given a room that faced the side... More

In general it is a very good budget option. We stayed there for 4 nights in a double room with ensuite. It was convenient and clean. The hotel has a very nice decor and there's a guest kitchen. Staff was extremelly helpful and friendly. There were only two negative things. First - our room was right above the kitchen, so... More

Attention anyone looking for accomodation if they are coming to catch a gig at The Tivoli... you could not get closer! Myself and a friend saw a fantastic band then walked around the corner to this fantastic old federation style Queenslander. There we sat on the front deck amongst the potted ferns on a warm summers night for one last... More

Never stayed in a hostel like this before, it really feels like coming home. Very quiet, stayed in a 4-person-dorm but I had the room for my own for all the nights, and that for only 20 dollars! Very friendly staff, especially Ian the caretaker. Did not plan to stay in Brisbane for a week but the hostel made me... More

It was almost like the driver of the taxi had arrived off a plane as he had no idea where it was - hint: tell the driver that it is next to the Heart Foundation. He eventually found the hotel which was closed after hours however the night officer opened up for me. The room was an adequate size with... More
