What kind of Motel allows itself to run out of gas....so there's no hot water in the entire place? That's what was the case from when we checked in to when we left....thank God it was not more than a day that we spent in Cairns! When we left...there was still no hot water.............! This seems like a regular motel but is definitely nicer than the other ones that we saw in the Cairns vicinity. It's about 10 minutes walk to the main city/promenade area. The courtyard area you first enter is very nice; reception staff are very helpful and have a wealth of information on the local attractions; and there's a nice, but small, pool.
