We spent a wonderful week at the Roydon in Trinity Beach with our almost 3yo and 17 month old daughters. The destination itself is ideal. Very relaxed and laid back, but with all the essentials - some surprisingly good restaurants, but without the price tags at nearby Palm Cove or Port Douglas, a well stocked corner store, a lovely tropical beach to rival the imagination, and easy transport to the surrounding areas as well as on the spot car hire.
The Roydon Beachfront Holiday Apartments had absolutely everything we needed, as well as the little extras we didn't realise we needed until we found them there. We stayed in Apt 105, a 2 bedroom apartment on the ground floor, set back in the gardens but still facing the beach. The property is enclosed with safety childproof gates which meant the girls could run in and out without us worrying.
