Booked most of our hotels for Australia and New Zealand trip based on other trip advisor postings. This one definately met our expectations. Its a very basic room - very clean, tile throughout, has a little fridge. Easy walking distance - a few blocks from the beach and tons of restaurants. Wes booked this before trip out to Oz. Super place with pool, BBQ area. Good rules for all to abide by. Super choice for breakfast, but no other dining. Staff would help you with anything....brill! Great Value for the family of 4, there were bunk beds for the kids, everything was clean, good size room, very simple, nothing fancy, A/C. Cinder blocks for the wall, rooms were sound proof from this. Price well for the budget family. You do have to carry your suitcase to the second floor, nice pool and BBQ area. We were in Cairns for 4 nights, and were greeted very warmly, which was wonderful after a 25 hour train journey from Brisbane. The staff were some of the friendliest staff we encountered. They went above and beyond making sure we were comfortable, and when our tour buses were late, took the initiative to find out what was going on.... more

Stayed 4 nights. Room very clean, comfortable, quiet, safe. Very good value. Walking to downtown takes 15 minutes to the night market and main shopping. The Esplanade is very close. Public park in front the hotel. more
