If you're after a cheap hotel in a central spot, this is good value. Staff are very friendly. It's not a resort but if you will be busy and are focused on a clean place for a very good price, this is worth consideration. We just did a night here before an early flight. You can cook a BBQ and... More

Visited the Coral Tree Inn in Cairns during our trip in December. We enjoyed our stay at the Inn. It was a little bit of a walk from the Esplanade, but the Hotel had all of the facilities required. Being an international traveller, and not understanding how EXPENSIVE Australia actually is, the fact that the hotel had a hot plate/BBQ... More

We booked to stay with the Coral Tree Inn through QLD Rail on a reef and rainforest package. Nice quaint hotel. The girl on reception who checked us in was very welcoming and lovely - Eliza I believe her name was. She was very patient with us as we were very tired after the long train trip. She advised us... Stayed at the Coral Tree on new years eve, and found it to be comfortable and surprisingly quiet considering the date. There were a couple of minor faults that we found, **the first being that the beds were rock hard and the pillows were very flat, being locals we will bring our own if we stayed again **the second being... From the moment we checked in we were made to feel welcome. In fact, even before we arrived I was impressed with the communication and response to silly tourist emails asking for help. They were wonderful. The girl on reception was so helpful (Liza?) and made our trip really memorable. Next time I go to Cairns I will not pre... More

Stayed with my girlfriend for 2 stays of 3 nights each with a break in the middle. The rooms were far more modern than we had been expecting, complete with a huge bed and enormous flat screen TV. Only slight downside is the location. Whilst it is within easy walking distance to the promenade and amenities, it is opposite a... More
