This a very good value for Cairns. We stayed 3 nights in April 2007. It's pretty much your ordinary motel, but I found the enclosed courtyard and pool quite attractive, and we had a ground floor room just off of it. I never noticed whether they had an elevator, though, so I wouldn't have liked being upstairs if not. The... more

We stayed here for 2 nights after a GBR cruise Nov. 18 + 19. We got there early, 9:00 am and were not able to get in the room, but stored our luggage and took a tour to Kuranda that the desk booked for us. We booked direct with the hotel and they offered us a $20 AUD discount. Room... more

We stayed four nights at the Coral Tree Inn before a Great Barrier Reef cruise and then one night after. The hotel is definitely a “beach” type of property and located about a 5 minute walk from the central business district. The buildings are cinderblock. The rooms are clean and adequate with a refrigerator and hot pot for tea or... more

We stayed at this hotel in October 2005 and found it to be good value for money. Our room was small, basic and clean. A combination of ceiling fan and air conditioner kept us pleasantly cool. Lots of clean towels and soaps were delivered daily - I think by the end of our stay we had accumulated at least a... more

I was extremely dissatisfied with our stay at the Coral Tree Inn and Cairns. When we first arrived we were able to check in early and have a taxi and tour booked. Much to our disgust, the bathroom reaked of sewage and was so foul that we promptly requested a new room. In the 2nd room, the AirCon leaked liquid... more

I stayed here for 3 nights (extended to 5 days due to Cyclone Larry) in mid March 2006. The hotel was easy to find. They don't run a shuttle service to the airport but its less than $10 per run. Reception were helpful and could also do tour booking although I did not use any. The room was quite large... more

We had a pleasant experience here. It wasn't an expensive five-star hotel; but it wasn't a cheap slum either. The only downside I could think of is that the bathroom didn’t have an exhaust fan. I had to slightly open a window that happened to face the main courtyard. But if I did have it open a little, anyone looking... more

I stayed here with my boyfriend on a five night stay in Cairns. The room itself was quite basic but had everything we needed. Only one negative - the walls were thin so at times it could be a bit noisy. The staff were really friendly and there was a good choice at breakfast. A short level walk takes you... more

This was a good place to stay as rooms were very clean, staff friendly and was only a short walk to esplanade. Was a bit worried after reading previous reviews but was pleasantly surprised. Was good value for money. Pool area rather small though for a place of its size. more

Stayed here for 2 nights in September. Have to admit that when I first saw the outside of the hotel I was very apprehensive as it looks very dated and tired but was pleasantly surprised once inside. The hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious and clean with great air con! Good pool area including DIY... more
