We found this hotel to be an excellent base from which to explore Cairns and the surrounding region. It's just a few minutes by free shuttle from the airport, yet not troubled by aircraft noise. That about sums it up. I would only stay at this hotel for convenience to the airport. Period. In the USA, it would be equivalent to a 2.5 star hotel. I stayed in one of the refurbished rooms--I had noted on tripadvisor that unreburbished had a lot of complaints. Most of the resort seems to be one story little buildings.... more

I was there a year ago with ma friend. Its a nice, cozy resort and first off all its clean. The only one thing wasnt very good was food but it wasnt too bad :) more

We stayed here for one night, we got a good price so I won't go hard on it. Check in staff very nice, lots of information in the reception with a nice little shop selling everything from sweets to postcards to beach towels. Excellent shuttle service to and from the airport. We arrived very late after flight delays and the driver was there to collect us.
