We just got back from a three night stay at this hotel in February, 2008. We also thought this hotel was close to downtown, but it truly was in the middle of nowhere. Yes- Expedia said it was 4-stars. That was ridiculous. We stayed two nights, and asked to move rooms because of the roaches. There is a sign in each room saying that they "try their best to keep the room free of bugs, but it is a tropical environment." Seriously?!? That sounds like an excuse, as I've been in bug-free rooms... more

Newly renovated rooms, TV, DVD, Fridge. Location is less, but if you have a car, only 10 minutes from CBD. Very Clean rooms. I will stay here again for sure! more

I booked this place on Wotif which claimed it was a 4 star hotel....They certainly had some amenitites that could let it achieve such (i.e. in room utencils/plates, fridge, separate shampoo/conditioner, etc.) but it was really an old building, way out of town with bad air conditioning and worst of all our room was just crawling with ants everywhere.
