stayed for 3 days as part of oz tour. there was some refurbishment going on but did not interfere with our stay. had a refurbished room. very comfortable and plush. enjoyed our stay very much. don't listen to the other wingers, treetops was fine. more

The hotel was such a breath of fresh air as far as hotels go! The front desk is a large open area that has an adjoining bar... opening out into the rainforest that leads to the lagoon pool! This place has had a complete makeover. The rooms are fresh and bright, the food and service is great too. Much improved since my review year ago - (Almost, but not quite there)/ New management seem to have got their act together. more

Our travel agent recommended this hotel for our honeymoon, advertising it as a 5 star resort with all the trimmings! The lobby area was nice which was a promising start, but it was all down hill from there. This is definitely not a 5 star resort, more like three stars. The place is old and needs an update with aging furniture and infrastructure and the rooms tired, chipped, rusting, dirty grout on bathroom tiles, mould spots on ceiling. Just stayed about 5 nights at the treetops.It wasn't quite like the photo's that i've seen.Firstly there is some work going on around the place,this is much needed as it's looking a bit drab with paint chipping off here and there and the odd damp patch in the bathroom.Also the communal areas are in need of a bit of sprucing... more

Great place to stay, close to town centre, easy access to the barrier reef, nice pool, good cocktails and good access to the beach - watch out for the stingers though. more
