This is an apartment-type hotel that we stayed at for one night in the interim between a reef cruise and driving up to the Daintree Rainforest. It was clean and comfortable and very reasonably priced for a whole apartment with a balcony, kitchen and living room that was centrally located in downtown Port Douglas. The furniture was comfortable and the... more

Port Douglas is a great beach community and is THE place to stay if you're visiting the eastern coast. Villa San Michele is located in the heart of Port Douglas's main drag and is central to EVERYTHING you want to do: - Surrounded by great restaurants and shops - 2 blocks from the grocery - 200 yards from the beach... more

My boyfriend and I recently stayed at Villa San Michelle for 7 nights. We stayed in a 1 bedroom apartment on the top floor facing towards the back of the block. It was very quiet facing in this direction. The room was great and tidy and spacious. The kitchen was great and had everything you needed. The pools were a... more

Great location, very nice staff, good bed, useful kitchen. The pool was not very large, but who needs a pool in Port Douglas? The season (October) was perfect... juts before jelly fishes start coming (in November). We had perfect weather. It´s 10 minutes to the beach and 15 minutes to the harbor. We rented bikes and also did a snorkeling... more

Friendly staff and large, comfortable apartments are the hallmark of this establishment. The layout is confusing though. Since the owner took a wrong turn when taking me to my room, what chance did I stand?? Facilities are otherwise rather minimalist and were more so than usual during my stay since the pool area was closed for refurbishment. more

Our family of 3 (2 adults, 1 child) stayed here for 2 nights in Aug 2007. We had a 1-bedroom apartment that was clean, very comfortable and extremely spacious. It was at the rear of the property, overlooking someone's back yard (not an unpleasant view, mind you). We particularly appreciated the free laundry facilities. Yes the underground parking spaces are... more

Our travel agent did us proud on this one. This hotel is very conveniently located in downtown Port Douglas, a very quaint town. We also were a five-minute walk away from the main beach. The condition of the hotel was very good and the rooms very comfortable. Also very good value. The pool was clean and the spa heated properly. more

My husband and I stayed here for 5 nights in March 2007. We stayed in a one bedroom apartment, which was perfect. The apartment was very clean, nice, modern yet cozy. We enjoyed the kitchenette and had breakfast on our balcony every morning. The staff was very nice & helpful, the location is great- right in the middle of Macrossan... more

A very nice place to stay right in the middle of Port Douglas. We stayed in a 2 BR unit that worked out great for us (family of 4). Easy walking distance to all the shops, dock, and four mile beach. The entrance is on the main street in town but most (all?) of the units are set inside an... more

The best location in town without a doubt. Right in the heart of the restaurants, shops and pubs, yet surprisingly quiet. Spacious rooms, nice decor and friendly staff, you can't go wrong staying here if you are visiting Port Douglas. more
