I went up last year in the July holidays to compete in the Cairns soccer mini cup which was being held in Cairns (1 hour drive south) but I thought I would extend it into a holiday. I went out to Low Isles where we all went snorkelling straight off the beach and Leona directed me to many other tours... More

Leona and Bob could not have been more helpful and accommodating, and they make you immediately feel like longtime friends. The bedrooms all have a large private balcony that overlooks the pool and the gardens. If you are looking for the exotic, open-air experience, you can leave the glass bi-fold doors wide open and listen to the sounds of the... More

We visited Jan 16-19, 2013. The drive from Cairns airport to Frangipani in Port Douglas took about 45 minutes but was very easy (even though I hadn't driven on the wrong side of the road/car for many years). Leona gave us great directions and we were able to stop along the way to pick up some supplies and get some... More

We arrived with our three children to stay for two nights. The house is really lovely with a fabulous pool dug into rocks. Leona and Bob were very kind and helpful giving us a great restaurant recommendation where we ate on both nights. Leona even posted my son's cuddly parrot back to us in England. They couldn't have been nicer... More

My husband and I just spent three nights at Leona and Bob's wonderful B&B and I can't say enough great compliments about it. The villa is lovely, where the indoors meets the outdoors. Bob and Leona couldn't do enough for us, from loads of laundry to backing the car out of the driveway. Leona became our own personal travel agent,... More

We spent two weeks here in June and it was a wonderful experience! Bob and Leona are the perfect (unobtrusive) hosts and the standard of accommodation is high, better than most of the hotels in town (which could do with a renovation). Two minutes walk to a most glorious beach even by Oz standards. The transport is excellent as mentioned... More

We stayed here in mid-November to be in position to witness the total eclipse of the sun on the 14th. The location for that activity was perfect - a short walk down to the beach for unobstructed views of the eastern sky. But seeing as how there aren't be too many upcoming total eclipses, how would this place rate otherwise?... More

Stayed with Leona and Bob for 4 nights after a recommendation from a colleague Had a great stay here, Bob and Leona had good local knowledge and suggested good places to see/eat/tours. The room was spotless, clean and tidy. It was so refreshing to sleep with the doors wide open and listen to the wildlife. The B&B is within 2... More
