We stayed one night in mid July in an executive room. We asked for a room on the upper level as we don't like to be woken up by a noisy car in front of the room early in the morning (the car park at this motel is on the lower level). The room was of reasonable size and clean. Sitting in front of the room we enjoyed the view of Magnetic Island. The service was very helpful. The motel is on top of a hill about 10min walking distance to the centre of Townsville and a 10min ($10) taxi ride to the ferry terminal to Magnetic Island. When in town try The Brewery on Flinders Central Cnr Dean St for great beers and good food. more
