I would like to say how much we enjoyed our 3 night stay at Seagulls recently. Seagulls website photos do not do it justice. The rooms were comfy but not grand. The grounds were just beautiful. The steak with seafood topping was a delight. The children's playground was slightly larger than expected. My 6 year old enjoyed it alot. more

Location / convenience: Near the beach, a little way out of town. Note that the address is given as 74 The Esplanade, but the entrance is off Primrose Street – this caused our GPS some problems. Check-in: Quick, efficient and friendly Room: • Size / layout: Standard room, but obviously recently refurbished with a wonderful funky feel. • Cleanliness: Very... more

We stayed last few days of March. We had been led to believe it was close to strand etc but a taxi cost us over $12 to get any where. Our room was upstairs and the stairs were step and difficult for bags. Our room had been refurbished to a very high standard. Breakfast was $20 each per day. The... more

We stayed two days in Townsville having driven from Port Douglas. We actually enjoyed our stay in the resort. There has been a lot of money spent in updating the promenade and it shows as it has a nice clean feel about it. We enjoyed eating in restaurants along the beach and really enjoyed swimming in the lagoon pool. We... more

Stayed there last weekend for Fri/Sat. I can apprecaite it is an old hotel, and in the process of renovation, so here are my thoughts. Positives: * Room: the superior room I had booked has been recently renovated and was lovely. Flat screen TV, comfie bed and pillows, nice bathroom. * Reception: really helpful and lovely, smooth checkin. * Landscaping... more

We felt the resort was pretty great on the whole. The rooms are very modern and well equipped. My only concern was the noise, we were initially allocated a room which was not suitable, but were moved on request. The reception staff are very nice. The location is a little out of town, there is a courtesy bus, but stops... more

This lovely little resort is one of the nicest spots in Townsville, close to the beach (mangrovey but nice for a walk) and a short taxi ride into town (or a 45min stroll along the strand). The palm-fringed pool and bar/restaurant have the feel of an oasis, while the rooms we stayed in were clean, bright, comfortable and well-serviced. That's... more

I have just returned from Seagulls, where I stayed with my two sons on a sporting weekend. I was so impressed. The rooms were so clean that they sparkled and were modern and fresh. The resort was peaceful and my boys had a great time at the tennis court and basketball hoop. All the sporting equipment is free. The lagoon... more

we chose seagulls after a bit of internet research. as previously stated, it is a wee bit out of town, but we had a car so no problem and its an easy 5 mins from the airport. They do offer a shuttle bus, or its a nice walk along the seafront. our room was clean and spacious, although not the... more

We travelled to Seagulls as part of a three centre stay in Oz. We have definitely found our home. The hotel was lovely and the staff really helpful and friendly. The hotel is set in tropical gardens with a pool and restaurant - which was absolutely excellent both for breakfast and dinner. A little out of the town, the hotel... more
