Pros: Good location, good check-in area and internet. Cons: Everything else. This is simply an old run-down hotel posing as a hostel. Horrible kitchen, pool, bathrooms (lotsa mold) and rooms were dirty. Be aware that the old Globetrotters location in Townsville is no longer there (constructions site) and this review is about the "new" Globetrotters location. more

run down building, dirty, scruffy - it's a wonder that there haven't been any bed bugs. won't go back. BUT: they built a new gobetrotters backpackers close to the ferry. wasn't open in july 2007 but looked very nice! more

Hi, We stayed here for 3 nights and found it to be a great hostel. It is small and cosy. Yes it is old but it is very clean, especially the kitchen, which we liked. The manager is cool and organised a night out for a group of us. I would definatley come back and stay here. Debra more
