From the moment we stepped off the plane it was apparant that children outumbered adults. Noisy children, screaming, laughing, crying & yelling while some of the parents were even noisier. Dunk Island was an experience, if it was not for the lush tropical rainforest and beaches this place would be bankrupt years ago. This Resort is a long drive from cairns Airport through cassowary country so first if you are getting transfers be prepared for a long but senic drive, Misson beach Dunk Island transfers were great and had great service. The Island has very good food and I would really suggest to prepay all your meals and be aware of the meal... more

We recently returned from Dunk Island and I was very pleasantly surprised with how much we enjoyed the holiday. We have a 12month old and are used to staying in luxurious adult resorts/hotels, though it was nice to be somewhere that accepted kids and made having them on holiday so easy.
