My husband and I stayed at Daydream Island in November 2009 for 3 nights to celebrate our 1st year wedding anniversary. When booking this resort, we were after a nice resort to stay in the Whitsundays that provided us with lots of fun (mostly free) activities, as well as private and relaxing areas for some R&R. For the most part,... more

The resort is just beautiful. Lots of swimming pools, beaches, and lush gardens. I particularly enjoyed the living reef with all the tropical fish, sharks, rays and real corals as well as seeing wild birds, lizards and wallabies out and about. The views are wonderful. We enjoyed some the organized acitivities offered such as water exercise, croquet, nature walk and... more

My wife and I enjoyed our stay at Daydream Island in October 2009. It started with a bit of an adventure when our luggage (which was loaded on the ferry at Shute Harbour) ended up on Hamilton Island. Fortunately the mistake was soon discovered and the luggage eventually arrived safely on the next ferry. Daydream Island is geared up for... more

We were here for two nights with a tour. Huge disappointment. Admittedly the setting is stunning, but the reality is that this is a Holiday Camp in all but name (and price!). The decor in the public rooms is 1970s Gone Wrong, though to be fair, the bedrooms were much nicer and more modern and spacious - pity about the... more

After being bumped from the Virgin flight direct to Hamilton Island we were very delayed in arriving to Daydream Island and we were met with genuine concern and empathy from the Manager on Duty. He personally escorted us to our rooms, giving us a little tour of the resort along the way. Upon arrival to our room due to our... more

I went with my wife, and 6 year old daughter. We arrived by a boat which stank of vomit, at the docks of day dream. We got necklaces, a good point and then went off to our room. We walked inside it to find our bags already there. Which was nice. We unpacked, and got dressed for a afternoon swim,... more

I travelled here without my husband with 3 children aged 4 , 6 and 9. We had fantastic weather and loved the pool. It is absolutely huge and has many shallow areas for the little ones to play. We stayed in a coral room which was a ground floor room with queen beds and a balcony which opened onto a... more
