Whilst the location of this hotel is fantastic, nearly everything else disappoints! I was in Adelaide for a conference, so my wife decided to come along for the ride and we went for a "Deluxe" Room! Here is what a deluxe room was like: - Dark, with one window facing a concrete wall. - Paint splotches on the wall. -... more

I booked it on Hotels.com getting non-refundable pre-paid rate of $105 a night. The rate was good. But as it says: “You get what you pay for”. No one helped us out of the car with the luggage. The reception desk was managed by a trainee ( a very polite young man). Hotel’s garage was full and I had to... more

Had to go to Adelaide very last minute and as is often the case in this city, accommodation can be hard to find. I travel regularly to Adelaide and have stayed at what seems like almost all of the hotels in town! This was my first time at the Mercure. I chose it as the rate was reasonable and decided... more

Stayed at this hotel on a Saturday night, reception staff were very friendly and helpful at check-in they will help with organising your day trips or tours to barossa, kangaroo island etc. had a Deluxe room on level 4 with a balcony which faced the Hyatt hotel good views of Casino, Torrens river and Adelaide oval. Room was nice size... more

The Mercure Grosvenor Hotel is a decent hotel. I would happily stay here again if the rate is right, but I wouldn't miss it if I stayed somewhere else. It's a standard chain hotel — nothing is amazing but nothing is terrible. I stayed in a Suite room. It was happy with the size (larger than I expected) but disappointed... more

We booked this hotel as it was the best value property that was available. We stayed three nights and found that not only did it have the things we wanted (bar, decent rooms, room service and restaurant) it was surrounded by some wonderful bars and restaurants as well as having a great location within the city meaning we were able... more

I had the misfortune of staying here for business. The hotel is old, the rooms feel like they haven't come out of the 1970s but worse, the room was dirty. There was a small tray on the bathroom vanity to hold the shampoo bottles - when I picked it up to make room for my things the filth under it... more

Stay in an economy room was just that ... economy. Paid a small price for bed and breakfast and got a small room. The breakfast was a buffet of good standard - interesting automatic pancake machine. Happy hour was under-subscribed, but $3 for a glass of wine (inc sparkling) or beer with canapes is good value in any capital city.... more

I wouldn't recommend this place. It's been renovated, but retains all of the original structural design problems. For example, the bathroom in my room was old, poorly designed and equipped and not what you would expect for the price. The room was also very small. The gym or equipment room were a bit of a joke (a treadmill and a... more

The rooms were very nice on first impressions, however when I went to shower there was hair in the shower and on the floor by the garbage bin, also mould in the shower. The shower water pressure was terrible, it felt like a sprinkle. Also the rooms were that hot and stuffy all night even after turning the cooling up... more
