My wife and I stayed here for two nights from 24th Oct and found the hotel above average for coober pedy but you should not try to compare this against major town hotels. Booked an 'underground room' and arrived after a 9 hour drive to be told that none were available and had been given to a bus group. With so many other options in Coober Pedy, I would have booked somewhere else, underground and cheaper - but there was no offer of refund or decent explaination. Highly overrated hotel. more

We stayed at the Desert Cave for two nights with some overseas visitors.
