We stayed at the Lake Pedder Chalet for two nights in total and it was the best thing we ever did on our stay in Tasmania. I cant advocate enough for how amazing the chalet and surrounding countryside is. We had a number of issues with bookings and our car on our trip all of which was accommodated by the chalet, whom went above and beyond their duties on every occaision.
When we arrived we were advised that we had been upgraded to a better room for no extra charge- the rooms are neat and tidy, nothing extravagant although if youve been camping and without a shower and a cooked meal they will seem luxurious. The meals are quite basic but with monster sized servings and are exceptionally well cooked - you can expect to pay an average of 15 dollars for a huge and delicious steak dinner!!
The lounge area in the chalet is comfortable and the staff are extremely friendly, they assisted us at every turn - helping us to find a local mechanic to help fix our car (who charged us the... more
