We stayed for 9 nights in a "superior" room which was quite large and had a clean and good sized bathroom, but the shower was over the bath. We had a room on the second floor with two windows and believe it or not the only view we had was of the brick wall of the building next door. The... more

Hobart doesn't have a lot of choice in the 4 - 5 star range so it was difficult to choose a hotel. Hadley's is situated well, near the city centre with Salamanca Markets and Constitution Dock a close walk. We didn't get off to a good start with the Reception Staff indifferent to say the least. Room keys were handed... more

What a fabulous hotel Hadleys is. It offers a unique and charming choice in this wonderful city. The bar is outstanding. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The property in general is a wonderful place. It is an easy walk to the waterfront and shopping. Highly recommended for you all. more

My husband and I stayed Thur - Sun in room101. We enjoyed Hobart, but not the nights in the Hotel. The room was small but adequate and clean. There was a lack of light in the room at night and there wasn't a clock. We honestly didn't get much sleep. It wasn't from inside the hotel, but outside. I actually... more

Dear Debbz64. Thank you for your comments regarding your recent stay with us at Grand Mercure Hadleys. The external noise levels are of concern for us due to our inner city location and I understand your concerns regarding neighbouring outlets. We would love to welcome you back to the hotel and we most certainly have large heritage rooms away from...

Our room was on the back side of the hotel facing another building and an alley. The alley was quite loud in the early morning with the sounds of bottles being thrown around. The room was fairly small, and the bed a rather small double. Although all of the staff with whom we interacted were pleasant, and the overall service... more

this is a mixed review cause but overall a reasonable stay. My colleagues and I stayed 2 nights when on business. we got a bargain basement price and they upgraded us to queen bed "suite" rooms. There is more good than problematic here - but it is such a mix that I wonder if the hotel knows what it is... more

Were there on a Saturday night, had a very small (not like some of the pictures) street facing room. Found out at check in that the hotel did not have a car park and we could park in the church garage till 5:30pm, after then we could park on the street overnight. Parking meters in use till 6:00pm. Our room... more

spent 4 nights , nice large room, helpful staff, parking close by, the hotel is very conveniently located to the local attractions. Atr the breakfast once, very ordinary, usyal stuff, pikelets from a packet!, limited choices, in general I found Hobart not offering many healthy eating options. Go down the sreet to Breadd for fresh pides, sandwiches etc more

Hadleys hotel is in a great location, not far from the waterfont on Murray St, Hobart. It's a very old building which adds to the character of creaky floorboards, uneven floors and steeped in history. Hadleys offers virtually no parking so if you're hiring a car, look out as there's nowhere to park. If the reception staff tell you to... more

Dear Melbourne Travelbug, Thank you for your comments following your stay at Grand Mercure Hadleys Hotel earlier this month. It was pleasing to read your comments regarding the staff and cleanliness of the rooms. The hotel has recently commenced extensions and renovations at the rear of the property where our carpark was located. At the conclusion of the works, noise...

Stayed for 2 nights in June. Check-in was quick and efficient. Rooms were more spacious than expected and well cleaned. Hotel has some character considering its history. Free parking and location to downtown were highlights. Unfortunately, a hotels true test to customer service is how it handles adversity. There was a fire alarm late in the evening. Most residents filed... more
