Good location, accetable kitchen which staff clean every evenning. Please notice that you have to pay extra for dyne/bedsheets, if you do not have your own sleeping ack with you. Has free wifi, but then we stayed here in 31 of March 2013, it had some problems. One staff/receptionist help us plan our road-trip around Tassie, very nice, and helpful.

we stayed here one night, in a dorm for 6. Rooms are very hot and stuffy but clean enough. Bed sheets ok but could have been cleaner. Quite expensive to use internet if you don't have a device but free if you do. Staff helpful enough but they are understaffed. Bathrooms could do with an upgrade as could most communal... More

I will start with the good. The hostel is in a great position, central to shops and eateries in Hobart. Could walk everywhere. The staff at the front counter wonderful. Kitchen light and bright, if a bit dirty. We had a hire car so had to find somewhere to put it overnight. No parking. I guess it was a backpackers... More

(except bin day seems to be everyday in hobart so early morning wake up!) Many lovely backpackers Bad- Dusty and run down Bathrooms were cold The guys left in charge... More

Our group stayed in 6 different backpackers and rustic cabins on our tour of Tasmania. This is the only one every disliked. Very worn, not well taken care of. Not quite clean, say dusty rather than dirty. Noisy. Next time, we will definitelty stay elsewhere.

The structure is a bit old, but great staff and very central. Linen not included, but available at a small fee. Quite clean, but not perfect. Kitchen well equipped ad quite big - dining area very old, but comfortable. Easy to meet people.

Old and tired. Stayed in 3 Bed Room. Open windows and not lockable. No furniture except Beds and a chair that looked like it was salvaged from the Tip. Waste Bin in room had not been emptied from previous day. People dossing on couches in TV room overnight. If you book elsewhere sooner I am sure you will get better... More

Stayed in the hostel for one night last week - had booked a dorm with 8 people but the room only had 5 beds, which was even better than expected. Then came back today and staff kindly let me watch the TV until I left for the airport (even though I wasnt staying there for the night). The freshly picked... More

What a shock when I walked into the room ! Frayed and dirty carpet, plaster falling off the walls, chunks out of the skirting board, a wardrobe ready to collapse and a chair that seemed to have been rescued from a skip. Shared bathroom was dark and cold (wind whistling around your legs whilst sat on the loo .. not... More
