We stayed in the Willow spa suite, which is on the first floor on the side with a window towards Hobart, and fairly quiet. Elizabeth St can be busy with traffic - we didn't stay in the front rooms but were told they are double glazed. The shower had great water pressure (didn't have an opportunity to use the spa).... more

We stayed here for two nights, and our hosts, Tina and Raymond, could not have been nicer. The home itself is listed on the historic register, yet the accommodations have been modernized to provide every convenience, including flat-screen TV and wi-fi. The weather was chilly, and our bed had an electric pad, which made it nice and toasty for us.... more

What a beautiful guest house! The owners are very friendly and the house itself has lovely furniture and fittings. The rooms are large, well-appointed and very comfortable. Nice fluffy towels in the bathroom, and plenty of hot water. The breakfast room is very comfortable, with a fireplace and nice tables and place settings. It was a treat to have a... more

We have just returned from our third trip to Hobart. On the first occasion we were referred by friends to The Elms of Hobart. We were so impressed with the position, presentation and originality of The Elms that we again stayed for a second visit. The owners again warmly welcomed us and when it was time to say goodbye, it... more

We stayed at the Elms in January 2008. I was very disappointed with many things at the Elms in North Hobart. The place is cold and and noisy ( situated on a major road) The Staff at the Elms really lack character. They were rude at times and usually somewhat arrogant. The lady there came across as though she was... more

I am very disappointed in this review as the guests did not even know my name and referred me to as the lady. We always am trying and obliging to all our guests and treat them with all respect. We have had many guests throughly enjoy our B&B and have had numerous to many to count referrals, cards, emails and...

Found this property one of the best examples of hosted B&B that we have stayed in. Warm, friendly staff who were only too willing to help us, clean, period style accommodation and a wonderful breakfast made this a highlight of our trip. Can recommend to anyone more

Another example of the fusty and very dusty 'victorian accommodation' offered around Tasmania. The house was cold, and in need of a very good overall clean. Breakfast was basic. Certainly not the Boutique B&B experience that it claims to be. more
