Hard to fault the hotel one bit. Built in the old IXJ Jam factory, the place has a great feel. Rough timber beams, exposed sandstone and brick. A really stylish but industrial feel. The staff have been excellent. The room is quite amazing. And the area it's in, surrounded by restaurants, cafe's and shopping is perfect. more

We had been sure to book well in advance to secure a room at the Henry Jones Art Hotel. Last time we had been in Hobart we had a look around the hotel and thought it was lovely, and committed to staying there on our next visit. After travelling around Tasmania for a week and staying in some beautiful places,... more

My partner and I visited Hobart for a three-day Tasmania visit at the end of November, and the Henry Jones was a fine hotel to use as a base in Hobart. We had a room facing the Harbor and Elizabeth dock, which was at the higher end of the room rate scale (other than suites), but very, very comfortable. It... more

What can we say? Everything was perfect from check in to departure. The staff were so helpful. We were offered an upgrade on arrival for an extra £20 which meant we stayed in a suite for the night. The bathroom was cleverly divided from the main room with opaque glass panels and a shower for 2. Only comment is that... more

We stayed in the Oriental Suite for 3 nights - and can not fault a thing, it was the perfect place for my husband to be sick, what was meant to be busy few days turned into a relaxing holiday and we really enjoyed just being in our room! The staff were ultra professional and very helpful re my husbands... more

We stayed one night in a superior harbour view room. Almost everything about our stay was excellent - only slight gripe was delays in checking in and out but staff were charming. Room was beautiful - exposed brick and timbers combined with modern furnishings and bathroom. I also enjoyed roaming the corridors of the hotel looking at how they had... more

Stayed for a weekend. Booked a standard room for first night and a deluxe harbour view for the second. The standard room was HUGE!!!! We asked to be in the hotel not the apartments and away from the elevators as i had read previous reviews from people who were annoyed by elevator noise. We were seduced by the exceptional sales... more

I have now stayed in this hotel twice in the last 2 years and it will always be my 1st choice when next visiting Hobart. The entire place has a new and fresh feel and the staff are fantastic. The hotel is perfectly situated on the bay, in walking distance to the famous Salamanca markets and the city. Plenty of... more

We were pleasantly surprised at this hotel. It really is the only place to stay in Hobart. The room was beautiful and the bathroom we had was gorgous. It's a really interesting place with great art on the walls and ofcourse the location is the best. Just open the blinds and look out onto Constitution Dock.....amazing. The staff are very... more

Simply the best hotel that I have stayed in. I travel for work and have stayed in countless hotels. This one is something very different. The architecture is amazing - beautifully adaptive reuse of a heritage building, service great, location amazing. This is a must stay hotel and worth every penny. more
