Remember visiting your grandmother when you were young? Mine had a lovely old place with dark carpets, dark panelling, high ceilings and wonderful atmosphere. Just two additional notes to the review already written - having read other travellers' reviews, I should say that we stayed in one of the ensuite rooms (which was really lovely), and the hotel is not Victorian, it's much later than that - probably 1920s or 30s. So don't expect chintz. more
