The hotel was bad. The room was small, bathroom had poor light, shower had no curtain, water flowed away from the drain to flood the bathroom yet they had a sign to save your towel to protect the environment. Overall, not a bad experience. I received very good services from the staff, and the room was clean and modern. The wall-mounted flat screen tv is nice too. When booking a single room at this hotel make sure you are clear about the dimensions of the room. Room 126 is the size of a dog's box with built- in cupboards around the bed, a desk and a bedside table. All of which don't actually fit the size of the room so you need to move yourself around this... more

Terrific location just next to the free city circle tram and 10 mins walk to free city bus stop. Tram stop right outside hotel is great. 5 mins walk to Southern Cross where Airport Skybus stops. What else can you ask for in terms of location. Room was small (even for Asians) and clean. more

To us the Pensione was always going to be a small room for the Double (the modern upgraded room rather than the original) .....yes it was small, and yes the shower could do with a curtain to stop the bathroom floor part-drowning but it was tidy, modern, functional with plenty of storage, air con, a great big tv and more... more

Would not stay at this hotel again! Paid $140 for the night to stay in a room that is the size of a shoe box!! we were given the disabled room on the ground floor. Our room had 1 window that did not open that looked into the hallway so at night we had to sleep with the front door... more

i got off my bus and walked down to find this hotel i had already booked into. Outside was a man asleep some treveller too drunk to move so he had a nap there - i found this highly amusing - i went in and mentioned it to the guy on the desk and he dealt with it straight away.... more
