There was a lot to like about the remodelled Grand Hyatt. Excellent location. Excellent public areas. Friendly staff -- they gave us an early check in, which is a big plus. Great suggestions from the concierge. A large and varied buffet breakfast. The hotel is to make over the rooms next . They are a bit dated and tired, although... more

I always trust Hyatt Hotels. As usual its a beautiful hotel with exceptional service and very comfortable. The internet service fee is very expensive, along with the price of the hotel, but it was a very nice stay. The gym was small, the jacuzzi wasn't very hot and the pool was not heated. more

The hotel is pretty, and the staff was good. The rooms of this hotel are nice, but not as large as other 5 star accommodations that I visited in Sydney. They also nickeled and dimed us for everything, $29au for internet for a day!!! The restaurant was very good, and the dessert buffet was pretty, but again the overall cost... more

Stayed here two nights in a King room on the 25th floor. Great views over Melbourne. The room was clean and quite large. Large wide screen TV, lounge chair and desk. Very comfortable bed with light controls on a panel on the bedside table (took a little time to find). Bathroom was clean with plenty of towels and supplies that... more

Stayed here for two nights in a Grand Suite King on level 26. The room was nice and it was a relaxing space, though it is scheduled for refurbishment over the coming months I was still very happy with it. The king bed seemed slightly smaller than the king bed I had at the Park Hyatt in Canberra a couple... more

My comments are just the same as so many other reviewers - the noise between rooms is dreadful. And for me that means this hotel is over priced and not even close to being 5 star. The lobby and buffet breakfast are beautiful, the beds were really comfortable and the bathrooms are lovely. But the rooms themselves were dated and... more

We were impressed by the room and the bed was extremely comfortable. Unfortunately, the walls are so thin that you can hear what your neighbours are up to. We arrived around midnight and went straight to bed but couldn't sleep due to the slamming of doors for what seemed to go on til the early hours. This was followed by... more

Great hotel (I stayed on the club floor) and rooms. Service was excellent as were the amenities. Location is also very good. Rooms are getting a bit dated (but renovations were about to start). I stayed there 3 times over 6 months and twice the room was very good but the third time (lower floors) was very average. more

I stayed for 2 nights at this hotel in Melbourne, in total, 9 of us booked 8 rooms at this hotel. Overall, we all had a very pleasant stay and although I like trying different hotels and have my eye on a few others in Melbourne, I would stay there again if I could get rooms for the same price... more

I stayed at the Grand Hyatt during the Australian Open in Jan. The hotel is not a bad one however for the amount we paid, I did expect something better. While it was during Aus Open and it was very busy, I found the service to be extremely slow. We were waiting for at least 30 mins to check in... more
