We went to this hotel thinking we were checking into a five star luxury hotel. We were not. Although people at the reception and the concierge were very friendly, this hotel is simply not up to standard. Rooms definately need to have a makeover, not to mention the pool which we simply decided not to use after having seen it.... more

This is a top class hotel in a top class location. We were there for 3 nights (for the AFL footy) before flying to Hobart to continue the vacation. No complaints at all. Service was good, room very clean and staff very helpful more

The whole place needs an URGENT makeover. Old carpets, lounges, tables, doors, windows, toilet fittings, ancient tv set, air conditioner....... It was like staying in our backyard shed!!!! If you are looking for some 5 stars comfort, this certainly not a good choice. more

I found Stamford Plaza great but then we don't usually stay in 5 star hotels. We got a deal $205 - Saturday night including buffet breakfast through TV program. Great location to the theatres.
