Wow! The Hatton has a feeling like no other. Instantly at reception you feel at ease. This is in part to the hotel itself and also to the staff. The staff are some of the friendliest and most knowledgeable I have met. Doyan (I'm sure I spelled that wrong and I apologize) was so helpful in giving us a comprehensive... more

Gracious and simple this fine small hotel is a gem. My wife and I have stayed here a number of times when we lived in a different city. Located on the Number 8 tram route and not far from St Kilda Road the prize in this location is the 5 minute walk to the lush Botanical Gardens. Even closer are... more

The Hatton hotel was our first experience of Melbourne and we had a wonderful stay. It is a great city hotel which is unlike the normal big corporate hotels and provides an excellent, very friendly service. The property is a lovely, period house and the rooms are very comfortable. The staff were all so friendly and more than willing to... more

One of the best hotel stays ever. Sophisticated ambience, perfect location, polite and completely unobtrusive staff. Clerks assisted us and went above and beyond to provide a great experience. Can't beat the location - very charming, restaurants everywhere, tram stop at the front door. These guys have got the business down pat. more

I stayed one night at the Hatton in September having booked through wotif. I arrived at noon and not only was my room ready but when the reception ladies saw my luggage they moved me to a first floor room as there is no elevator. The hotel is located a block from the Royal Botanical Gardens and a bunch of... more

It's a fine line between Boutique and Butt Cheek when it comes to Hotels and this place definitely qualifies for the latter. From the time we arrived to a most indifferent and unfriendly welcome this joint went down hill from there. We'd booked two rooms for two nights via Wotif.com. To say the least, the rooms are very basic with... more

We stayed at the Hatton for our wedding night, and absolutely loved it. We chose to stay in their best (and most expensive) room which spans the width of the hotel on the first floor. The room is very large and boasts a massive private veranda as well. Its decorated in an antique asian style which is tastefully done. Breakfast... more

Unfortunately, we only had the chance to stay for one night. Really is a great find, and we will plan to use the Hatton on our next trip through Melbourne, later this year.. Staff were helpful from the moment we arrived till the time we left. The room / bathroom was spotless, with all amenities any traveller would want.(before anyone... more

One of these nice spots which you would like to find more often in big cities. Cosy and relaxed. Rooms spottless and practical. Nice breakfast place. Possiblity for your morning coffee on the terrace in the sun. Internet available for guests. Good location close to the Botanic gardens. No one will regret to stay here...! more
