We stayed for the weekend in a River View Suite which is the cheapest room. The room was immaculate, comfortable, cosy, and well equipped, however "river view" is a misnomer. No rooms at Chateau Yering have river views, the river is some distance away. From the balcony there is a stunning tableau of the mountains in the distance. Out friends... more

The perfect retreat amongst the delightful wine regon of the yarra valley. staff were friendly and helpful, the proximity to Yering Station was a bonus, and the dinner at Eleanor's was simply delightful - what a jewel to find. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! more

We have stayed here twice, once in a River Suite & recently in the top of the range Yering Suite. Both time our package included a three course dinner at their Eleonore’s restaurant and breakfast in the Sweetwater cafe. The staff could not have been nicer. The manager offered to park my car, take our bags to our room and... more

We stayed in a River Suite room and took the package with dinner and breakfast. The service was excellent. Everything you could ask for but not intrusive. The staff should be complimented. The room was built in a style blending in with the historic building and finished inside with fittings and furniture to enhance this feeling. The bed was comfortable.... more

Stayed here for three nights for my honeymoon in the stable suite after a free upgrade. The room was delightful, cosy and warm. After five minutes we had the log fire going. Beautifully quiet location. Glorious bed. Fantastic food (Ramsey quality). Courteous staff. How others have complained I will never know? more

My partner and I spent a Saturday night at Chateau Yering in a River Suite. Our package, bought online for $585, included a three course dinner in Ellinore's Restaurant and breakfast in the Sweetwater Cafe. Our arrival at the hotel was excellent - our luggage handled by a porter, our car valet-parked, and a personal escort to our room. Our... more

My husband and I stayed here for two nights for our wedding anniversary. We were very excited about our weekend away, but, having spent over $1500 for two nights, we left with a bad impression of the hotel. We stayed in a Stable Suite - The room and bathroom looked like they hadn't been updated in many years and the... more

The good stuff: We attended a wedding at the Chateau - absolutely lovely venue (despite many many MANY flies- not the hotel's fault though!) with wonderful food and nice wine selection. We thought it was also a perfect opportunity to stay there given the Chateau is supposedly THE luxury hotel in country Victoria. The bad stuff: Nice, but not worth... more

We needed a complete break and that is exactly what we got! Lovely room, great food and excellent staff who were happy to accommodate our every wish. We also went ballooning with 'Go Wild' whilst there (they pick you up from the hotel) and that was a fantastic experience. All up - a great 4 days. more

My mum and I spent 4 nights here and left feeling like princesses. Admitedly we were the only ones there for most of the time. The setting is picturesque and for Australia, the heratige buildings are so beautifully maintained and presented. The bathroom in our suite was more than I could ever afford to put into my own house! Lazing... more
