I booked this hotel through wotif.com in August last year for myself and my sister. I did request twin beds through the website and I do know that some request may not be made however when I arrived at the hotel they had given us one queen bed. The hotel didn't seem busy to me and the receptionst was rude... more

Located across from the Rialto Towers - perfect for doing business. I was pleasantly surprised by the stylishness of the room. They've done well in designing a room which feels open and spacious (although the bathroom was small and cramped) and it was clean and well maintained. A few things really bothered me though - no counter space in the... more

The Oaks on Collins Street sells itself in two ways: it’s near shops and offices and actually features serviced office space in the building. As a hotel it’s pretty Spartan, and its claim of being “4 1/2 stars” is a little misleading. The rooms themselves come with kitchens, which on the website makes them ‘studio apartments’. These particular apartments are... more

Where do I start? We booked this hotel for 3 nights (as we needed accommodation for a wedding we were attending) - we decided to stay here because of the photos of the sky suite and the rest of the hotel. These photos are BULLSHIT - I can almost guarantee these rooms do not exist. We booked a sky suite... more

We wanted a special place for a long awaited break, and booked the 'stunning' SkySuite which the hotel said had 'amazing views' and a 'large balcony'; in fact, it had a three foot wide concrete ditch between the window and a four-foot high external wall (painted dark grey) and a view straight into the next-door office block. Inside, the decor... more

My partner and I have stayed here a total of three times now. It is just a short walk to crown casino complex and is very affordable. we usually pay around $150 - $180 a night including breakfast. The layout is something which some will love and others will hate, with only a curtain dividing the lounge and bed, personally... more

The studio aparment is compact with the bed/bathroom area in less room than the kitchen/sitting space. We just needed a clean, comfortable and (relatively) quiet place to shower, sleep etc in-between shopping, dining etc and so it was fine. But if "staying in" your room is a bigger part of your plan then you would want a bit more space.... more

Stayed at the Oaks on Collins in September 2008 for one night whilst on a business trip. The location is not too bad. On Collins Street between King and William Streets. It's not the "Paris" end of Collins Street but only a 5 minute walk to Southern Cross Railway station in one direction and a 5 minute walk to the... more

Having read the prior reviews of this hotel my husband and I thought we would give it a go. We booked a standard Studio Room and were pleasantly surprised that they upgraded us to a Executive Studio room when we arrived. Upon entering the room my first impression was at how small the room was. Once I was in there... more
