terribly disappointing stay was had here - black mould in shower, big yellow liquid stain on carpet, uncomfortable beds, no view, pokey, dark and depressing. stayed here on a recommendation - wrote detailed written feedback which was never even acknowledged. more

I booked this hotel and then found this website and read the reviews...I will always look here first now! When we arrived we were directed to a car park up the lane beside the hotel, we were surprised to find a very tiny pokey little car park with hardly any spaces. Luckily we managed to reverse our car into a... more

We were sadly disappointed with the Oaks on Collins. Our Studio Apartment was very small and had one single chair at the miniature table - so much for "kitchen facilities!" The worst part was the lack of window - well there was one, but it opened onto a corridor looking at other guests doors! No natural light, very claustrophobic. We... more

As we decided to celebrate our anniversary in Melbourne, we thought: let's treat ourselves and book one of those hotels we normally pass as they are a lot more expensive. This hotel looked very promising, had all the convenience we wanted and - as we have a baby - we looked forward to some additional space. Once we arrived, the... more

Should have checked the ratings like previous reviewers. We got offered an upgrade for $15 a night to room that had an outside window. I thought this was quite insulting when there was no differentiation on the website or when we booked between an internal and external room. Whilst the room was not too bad, comfortable and quite clean the... more

We stayed in a serviced apartement on 19th floor. When we arrived with loads of bags after a stay in Bangkok no one came near us to help us with our bags, even though my husband was in a sling. Room itself was nice and large but bathroom was hopeless. Shower curtain only which meant a mess on the floor.... more

we stayed 2 nights in a studio apartment. It was internal (ie - had no windows or doors to outside) therefore the rooms was stuffy and hot. When it was advertised as looking out onto a Zen garden.....not so... Just a few rocks and some pots in the corridor. No Zen Garden i can assure you. The room itself was... more

I booked this room through Wotif and then read the reviews (from now on will read reviews first) and they were mostly bad/ As i couldn't get a refund I called the hotel to make sure we had a room with a window. We did, but it looked right into offices in the building next door so we couldn't have... more

We booked a last minute mystery luxury hotel deal from one of the last-minute websites, they had described the hotel as 4 star, while it wasn't awful it also wasn't 4 star, the bathroom was old and moldy, the carpets dirty and the lifts slow and noisy. The location at the bottom end of Collins st is ok and the... more
