We booked with Hotel Sophia based on the reviews in Tripadvisor. We were in Melbourne for the Australian Open. The rooms are clean but small, just enough to space to sleep & store your luggages. My daughter and I stayed here for 2 nights. It was fairly quiet. beds were comfy and a welcoming chocolate was on the end of the bed. I found reception friendly and the owner very nice. very handy having the pub next door and accessing it from Hotel Sophia without having to go on the footpath. The breake was great.... More

Good point close to skybus station. Also breakfast was included. Poor views, difficulty in understanding accent of the hotel staff, from an english person's point of view. Bed linen had not been thoroughly checked - dry blood found on duvet. If returned to Melbourne city would look for alternative accomodation. More

Very close to Southern Cross Skybus terminal in the city. Great friendly staff member who greeted me on the doorstep at midnight - he'd been cleaning the window ledges.
