We came to this camping because it was recommended in the Lonely Planet 2012, with "great facilities". We honestly have no idea when they checked this place! The only camp kitchen is in the fenced backpacker's area (which is more looking like a refugee camp due to the separation), and the amenities are really poor: The showers are very small... More

We recently stayed in a powered beachfront site for a few nights. We had a superb view of the 'staircase to the moon', even though we have now found out that is a rather uninspiring event. The people staying around us were all very pleasant and were short stayers like us. The atmosphere was good, grass freshly cut and bbq's... More

beautiful, quiet campground, for a few extra dollars you can get a beachfront. Staff are super friendly, place is very clean. Backpackers complain that they are hated upon, that isn't true. We are backpackers and if you don't want a grassy site on the other side of the road, ask for a powered site, otherwise, yes, you will go to... More

What a fantastic surprise to arrive at Roebuck Bay caravan park and be greeted by a friendly helpful happy young receptionist.we paid for a waterfront powered site for our van and it didn't disappoint postcard picture over Roebuck Bay and jetty stunning. Spotless clean toilets, shower and laundry even though they are old. Value here was fantastic we were expecting... More

I agree with all the 1star reviews, this site is awful, the staff are unfriendly and rude, the signs are intimidating and ridiculous and the amenities are awful. Firstly, they seem to hate backpackers and we were shoved into a disgusting field site, the MCG, that other people have mentioned. The kitchen in there was awful, the light was broken... More

Hello, we stayed at the Park in November 2012. We stayed in on onsite van which was basic but was very good value for money and suited our needs. The park is in a great location on the beach and close proximity to town. The only thing was that it doesnt have a pool, but we ware happy to swim... More

We stayed here for 5 nights. On the first night a group of young boys tried to rob our caravan at 3 am. We reported it to Reception the following day, they could not have cared less. All I was looking for was a little bit of empathy as my three young kids were scared. All they did was give... More

Without a doubt this is the worst caravan park we stayed at in the whole of our trip around Australia. From the word go the woman on the desk was rude and unfriendly. We had nice site neighbours which was good but we were plagued with cockroaches every evening as soon as the sun went down. The ablution blocks look... More

The stay started with an annoyed receptionist at 630pm already "helping" another customer. The request for a beachfront site was ignored and we ended near some side gate anybody could enter through. It was dark already but still very clear that we were surrounded by white trash neighbours. From extending their tent site/straps 2m into our spot to building the... More
