Stayed two nights at the Citigate Perth for a business trip, because Perth hotel prices are very high. This place is not up to the standard of other Citigate properties around Australia. It needs a serious refurb - chipped furnite, marks on the walls, awkward bathroom layouts...just old. For the price, it's pretty bad. That being said, everything worked -... more

A classic example of a hotel where all the money has been spent on the reception and lobby areas to create the illusion of a grand hotel. And with all that money spent on making the lobby ritzy, its not a surprise to find that not a cent has been spent on keeping the rooms clean and modern. The rooms... more

A well placed city centre hotel. Good access to CBD, Swan River and Art Gallery, Museum area. Plenty of local bars, eating places, and internet cafes. more

The citigate looks very grand, but the rooms are very jaded and in need of a refresh. The roms are of a good size and are kept fairly clean, but this place is nothing to write home about. more

Its bad... they know it... so when you book on the booking websites they have a "no cancel" policy so if you find out after you have booked you cant change your mind. Its old, the rooms are need of a referb & next door is a MASSIVE construction site. All of this you can live with for the right... more

We booked this hotel mainly because of the price. They were doing a special rate for $109. I was concerned that the room would be shabby but my fears were unfounded. The room had been reburbished and was spacious and clean and security was good. The staff were friendly and helpful. We required parking which is next door in a... more

We live in the country of Western Australia, we had husbands Christmas party in Northbridge, stayed with friends also from the country who had stayed at Grand Chancellor previous years. We were offered valet parking for $30, when I booked I asked if the hotel had security parking, I was told yes. We booked in Saturday afternoon, cars were valeted.... more

We stayed overnight following a wedding and enjoyed this place. It is not as run down as you could be led to believe; yes, it is old, but the foyer is clean and nice and the ballroom looked lovely for the wedding as well as the atrium where we had pre-dinner drinks. Our room was amazing - looked like a... more

The Citigate Perth hotel is extremely old. This hotel has won the prize for the worst hotel I have stayed in for a while. We were told the hotel is 3 star but definitely is not. The hotel looked like 1 star. The room was very tired and rundown. The carpet was filthy. The air conditioning did not work. The... more

Stayed here overnight up from the country to see a band at the metro city night club. Construction work all round. No parking out the front, very confusing when you arrive. Valet parking very slow to bring the car back the next day. Very flashy foyer, but not so flash when you get away from the lifts. Lift is central... more
